Taking Your Business to the Next Level Seminar - Sept 2008

Turning Social Media from Sociable to Profitable

BLOGS, MYSPACE, FACEBOOK, LINKED-IN, YOUTUBE, TWITTER. This social media stuff is all the rage now days but can I use really use this to take my business to the next level?

As I interact with business owners in the community, and the subject of social media comes up, the question often arises…”Can this stuff really help me grow my business?” Quite honestly, I wasn’t sure as I have never found a profitable use for it myself in my business until a few months ago when I decided to put my toe in the social media pool by starting my own blog and Twitter page. I found some quick wins myself and began to keep a look out for business owners who have actually had great success with their social media strategies.

ActionCOACH Reggie Shropshire is proud to announce the September 2008 Taking Your Business to the Next Level Seminar “Turning Social Media From Sociable to Profitable” to be held on Tuesday September 2nd from 5:30 – 8:00 at Hall's Tropicana Restaurant at 421 Castle St. in Downtown Wilmington, NC. The seminar will be a combination of brief presentations on a variety of social media as well as a panel discussion of local business owners who will share their knowledge and best practices to give you the “Cliff’s Notes” of the online social media world.

What is social media? Wikipedia defines social media as “a tool to connect people at low cost; this can be beneficial for entrepreneurs and small businesses looking to expand their contact base. These networks often act as a customer relationship management tool for companies selling products and services. Companies can also use social networks for advertising in the form of banners and text ads. Since businesses operate globally, social networks can make it easier to keep in touch with contacts around the world or just around the corner.” The bottom line is social media can be a great “iron in the fire” that can bring you more business at an extremely low cost.

This workshop will not be filled with institutional theory but with real world “from the trenches” guerilla marketing strategies that will come directly from business owners who are using social media with success in their business. Many of these business owners have cut back tremendously on their advertising budget and are getting higher volumes of better quality customers than they did via traditional marketing methods.

Here is the best news…This workshop is available to you and business owners you know at NO COST. The Taking Your Business to the Next Level Seminar Series is offered by ActionCOACH Reggie Shropshire as an educational and networking opportunity to help local business owners grow their business. There are only a couple of “Rules of the Game” to participate.

Here are the only rules to participate…
